Sir Keir Starmer is expected to urge partner nations to provide Ukraine with further long-range missiles to hit enemy locations during talks in the UK capital on this Friday.

The prime minister will host President Volodymyr Zelensky alongside what's known as "group of committed partners", including over twenty of Ukraine's allies who have agreed to offer the Ukrainian government defense assurances once fighting stops is brokered.

The Ukrainian leader has been appealing for several weeks for further extended-range systems from the West, an action that the Russian government has cautions would escalate the hostilities.

The Ukrainian president is travelling from Brussels, where he met European representatives on the previous day seeking funding aid.

"The sole individual participating in the ongoing war who does not want to end the fighting is President Putin," Sir Keir stated.

Britain's leader furthermore reveal that one hundred additional air defense systems will be delivered to Ukrainian forces ahead of schedule, as detailed in a multi-billion pound agreement reached between the UK and Ukraine in March.

Sir Keir will urge leaders to expand the delivery of long-range weapons following a productive strike on a manufacturing site in the Bryansk region, Russia, using UK-provided advanced weaponry.

"Furthermore, his brutal attacks on young children in a preschool recently show that perfectly obvious," he stated further.

Several minors were among a minimum of seven fatally wounded in a wave of Russian strikes on the country, which hit a nursery in the important metropolitan area Ukraine's second city.

Moscow began its comprehensive attack of Ukrainian territory in winter 2022. It currently occupies about one-fifth of Ukraine's soil, including the southern Crimea peninsular Moscow annexed in 2014.
